Be holy for God our Father is holy Part 1
Greetings readers, today we are going to find out together from the heart and mind of our God what he meant when he gave the commandment for his people to be holy as he is holy. In fact his exact words from Leviticus 11:44b says and I quote: "he shall be holy; for I am holy." One of the reasons why we in the Church struggle so in this area is because we get constantly bombarded from the pulpit, throughout our congregations, other believers, and just about everywhere we go in our society .With these sayings: we all fall short, everybody makes mistakes and no one is perfect. Over and over and over again like a bad song. Our spiritual senses becomes weakened. Thus providing a door and opportunity for Satan and every other demonic force that affect our minds to come in and hinder us from living out what God has commanded us. If we are not sound spiritually in our minds we are not able to hear from God our Father, our Saviour Jesus Christ, or our comforter and teacher the Holy Spirit. When this happens we will be unable to be holy as our God, Father, and Creator is holy. God already knows that we all have fallen short, we all make mistakes, and no flesh is perfect before him. That is why he sent his ONLY begotten Son Jesus Christ to save us and fills us with his Holy Spirit, which is given to us so that we will be able to walk in the ways of God and to be holy as he is holy. Instead of using one of those three sayings every time someone falls short of the glory of God through sin, how about us praying the following: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ name forgive me for sinning against you, cleanse my heart renew me in my mind, and strengthen me in my spirit. Help me to be holy as thou are holy. Grace and peace to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
