Laws of Marriage and Divorce Part 4

Welcome readers to part four of this series. Our lesson this week will be coming from the book of Romans 7:1-3. In this portion of scripture Paul the Apostle uses as a metaphor from  the laws of marriage to teach the mixed congregation of believers in Rome why believers in Christ are no longer under the law. The points that the Apostle Paul made are plain and clear: That the woman is obligated to her husband and is under the laws of marriage and that marital relationship   as long as he lives. Laws of Marriage And Divorce Part 3

Welcome brothers and sisters. We are now in part three of this series and so far we learned the following: Marriage is a legal relationship in the eyes of God that is between one man and one woman( Genesis 2:24 ). However, in Matthew 5:27-28 Jesus Christ defines this word. He starts off by reminding us that in both Exodus 20:14 and in Deuteronomy 5:18 we were commanded by God NOT to have sexual intercourse with anyone other than our legal spouse. "Thou shalt not comitt adultery " Matthew 5:27. In Matthew 5:28 Jesus not only expounds further on this word but he gives us the source to where this evil act begins. He says in Matthew 5:28 "But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his he...
