Jesus Christ Prophecy Part 2
Kingdom greetings to you all in the name of Jesus Christ our Blessed Lord and Saviour. The peace of God the Father be with you all. Amen.
My last blog I wrote about the prophecy that Jesus Christ spoke to his four Apostles Peter, James, John, and Andrew. (Read Mark 13:1-4,9). Jesus said that they were going to suffer some very harsh treatment from their family members and friends. That they were going to suffer at the hands of leaders from the Jewish and Gentile Nations. In the book of Acts which is the beginning of the Church Age, we find that the first part of Jesus Christ Prophecy is being fulfilled with the death of Stephen and we know that the Apostle John the friend of Jesus Christ the one whom he loved (John 20:2)was imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos where he received the Revelation of Jesus Christ. John was imprisoned for preaching the gospel and for teaching about Jesus Christ our Lord. In the book of Acts we also find out how the other Apostles of Jesus Christ were imprisoned and persecuted as well as brought before the leaders of the Jews and Romans for teaching about Jesus Christ and preaching the gospel.
So how does the prophecy of Jesus Christ apply to us of the modern-day church? For one thing, believers around the world 🌎 including here in the United States 🇺🇸 are already being reviled, persecuted, and mocked within their own homes and by family and friends. In his prophecy to the four Apostles, Jesus Christ said specifically that it was going to be our families and friends that would be handing us over(betraying us) to evil world leaders to be imprisoned, killed, mocked, and persecuted for his sake and that of the gospel. There will be divisions within the homes of believers between themselves and family members who are not followers of Jesus Christ our Lord. REMEMBER!!! Jesus Christ did not come to bring peace but a sword. The homes of believers today do have divisions, rebellion, mocking, and persecution occurring within them. However, NO ONE is being handed over to the authorities to be killed, mocked, beaten, or persecuted etc. This is however the beginning to of the Prophecy of Jesus Christ being fulfilled. Why was this prophecy not completely fulfilled during the times of the early church? 1.he said that what the Apostles were going to suffer at start of the church age was the beginning of woes. 2. The church has not been raptured yet. 3. That sin will increase and the love of many will grow cold. and 4.Paul said that there was going to be a falling away first. This is where the Church is now. The love of many in the church has grown very cold and many, many are falling away. It is at the point where there is no real distinction in the lifestyle that a believer lives and those who are unbelievers and the way that they live life. What does it mean to fall away? It means to turn away, rebel, forsake and abandon. This is EXACTLY!!! what is happening in the modern-day church. Many, many believers including many leaders of the church are backsliding, practicing sin, and living sinful lifestyles. Falling away is not just about being absent from corporate fellowship, one can fall away in their hearts, thoughts, or even their actions as well as their words.
It is during the tribulation period when the prophecy of Jesus Christ will be fulfilled completely. It is then when the families and friends of believers will be betraying their loved ones (handing them over) to the unbelieving leaders and authorities of this crooked and evil world system to be beaten, mocked, persecuted, and reviled, and killed even slaughtered and assassinated for the sake of Jesus Christ and that of the gospel. They will become martyrs of Jesus Christ at the hands of their families and friends but little do their families and friends know that the innocent blood of those whom they betray will be revenge by the Almighty God of all heaven and earth and his armies of heaven. I recommend that you all read the following places in the Bible pertaining to this prophecy spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 24:9-11, Mark 13:9, and Mark 21:11-19. God bless you and your families, households, and friends in all things in Christ Jesus.
